How much does car window tinting cost in Sydney?
At Tint Haus, we charge between $295 and $995 for a full vehicle XPEL car window tinting solution. This price is for any VLT percentage (film darkness) included. We stock all VLT ranges from dark privacy tint to clear film options for privacy glass. All our tint installations come with a lifetime warranty offering coverage against bubbling, peeling, lifting and discolouration.
What is the darkest legal car window tint in NSW?
Current NSW law requires newly tinted windows to maintain a VLT (Visible Light Transmission) of at least 35% on front side windows and 20% VLT on rear passenger and rear windows. There are some exceptions for existing car window tints that were applied when the car was manufactured.
A tinted visor strip (10%) is permitted on the top of the windscreen. We ensure all our films comply with NSW auto window tint laws.
What types of car window tint do you offer?
At Tint Haus, we offer 3 window tint tiers for your vehicle:

How long should I wait before rolling down my windows after they've been tinted?
After tinting, we recommend keeping windows up for at least 48 hours to allow the adhesive to set properly. Full curing may take 7–14 days, especially in cooler weather.
Does your car window tinting service have a warranty?
Yes, all our XPEL car window tinting solutions come with a lifetime warranty offering coverage against bubbling, peeling, lifting and discolouration.
Is your car window tinting service available across Sydney?
We do not have a mobile call-out car tinting service as it compromises the quality of the installation. However, we have 3 convenient locations in Thornleigh, the Northern Beaches and in the Central Coast.
What is the difference between ceramic tint and regular car tint?
Simply put, ceramic window tinting is generally superior to carbon window tinting in terms of heat rejection and optical clarity.
Can you tint a sunroof?
Technically, it is not possible to tint a sunroof – especially large panoramic sunroofs. However, we offer a Sunroof PPF solution which delivers the same result. Check it our sunroof tinting alternatives here.
How is car tinting applied to car windows?
Ceramic window tinting and carbon window tinting both involve carefully adding a film to the inside of a car’s windows. This is often available in a range of tint levels. When done correctly, adding window tint to your car can enhance and personalise your vehicle while also reducing the car’s internal temperature.
Does tinting your car's windows make it harder to see at night?
Actually no. A quality window tint correctly installed will actually reduce the glare from street lights and from the headlights of incoming traffic – making driving safer.
Is Ceramic Window Tint better than regular (Carbon) Window Tint?
In short, yes ceramic window tint is better. First, Ceramic Window tinting is more durable than carbon tinting. It is more resistant to scratches and the colour will never fade. Second, It is also much more effective at rejecting energy from the sun – which means it is a fantastic option for Australian summer.
Does car window tint go inside or outside the vehicle?
All car window tints are applied to the inside of windows. They are cleaned and dried before fitment.
